the tea party
The table was set. The guests arrived. So we headed off to build a bear to pick out a new animal to join the party. Chloe the chef/waitress was busy preparing the food and drinks while we were out. She did an excellent job serving all of the guests. Mae had such a wonderful time with all of her friends!
a happy day!

Nez Perce
The area around Riggins is rich with history. This is a panoramic view of the White Bird Battlefield, a small part of the Nez Perce National Historic Park, which extends through Idaho, Washington, Oregon and Montana. The first battle between the US government and the Nez Perce indians was fought here in 1877. The last photo is of the building on the side of the 95 that commemorates the site.

cottonwood
This is the Dog Bark Park in Cottonwood, Idaho. Not only is it a big field filled with cool wooden statues & sculptures, but the largest dog is also a hotel room inside. The bottom picture is a model of the room, which includes a viewing deck in the dog's head. The kids had a great time running around and playing and it was interesting to talk to the owner about why they decided to do this. They've been published in a bunch of books and articles about roadside architecture and were being visited the next day by a crew from the Travel Channel.

marble runs, barbies and of course zach and oh yeah screech owls!

this apple tree is about 5 feet away from jeri's patio table.
while we were eating dinner
chloe said: i didn't know grandma jeri had owls.
kevin and I: where?
(we looked up into the tree and saw the owls sitting there staring at us)
Me: those are fake.. people put those in there yard or trees to keep birds away.
A couple of minutes go by
Chloe: but how does she make them move?
Kevin and I: WHAT?
