The area around Riggins is rich with history. This is a panoramic view of the White Bird Battlefield, a small part of the Nez Perce National Historic Park, which extends through Idaho, Washington, Oregon and Montana. The first battle between the US government and the Nez Perce indians was fought here in 1877. The last photo is of the building on the side of the 95 that commemorates the site.
